Accanto Showcases Extreme Network Automation With Red Hat at MWC 2020
Tech Firms Accelerate On-Boarding and Lifecycle Management of C/VNFs
Helsinki, Finland, 6th February 2020, Accanto, a leader in Network Lifecycle Management and Orchestration is pleased to announce that the company will showcase VNF on-boarding and VNF lifecycle management scenarios with their technology partner, Red Hat, on Red Hat’s booth at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The showcase will use V3 of Accanto’s Stratoss platform, the company’s latest release.
The showcase represents a further strengthening of the partnership between the companies as Accanto’s Stratoss is integrated with both the Red Hat OpenStack and Openshift products, uniquely positioning it to enable Day 0 – 2 C/VNF management across both platforms.
The scenarios showcase Stratoss’s extensive integration with Red Hat’s Openshift and how it can orchestrate network services across CNFs. Leveraging its cloud-native architecture, Stratoss also extends Kubernetes with network service resources that can orchestrate the lifecycle of CNFs into complex network services, simultaneously leveraging all the tools and movement of the Kubernetes community.
In addition to the high levels of automation, the demo scenarios will show the following:
- Accelerated V/CNF onboarding dramatic reduction in the time to test and certify V/CNFs will work in a service providers network service, down from months to days. V/CNF packages are “productized” and can be reused in other network services with no additional testing.
- Automated V/CNF change management patterns; Complex change management scenarios across data centres no longer require human hand-holding or lengthy maintenance windows.
- True Cloud Native-based CNF NSO (Network Service Orchestration); Leveraging the comprehensive Openshift integration, Stratoss extends Kubernetes with network service resources that can orchestrate the lifecycle of CNFs into complex network services.
- Brownfield network service and VNF adoption; Manually provisioned VNFs and network services can be “adopted” by Stratoss through configuration, quickly bringing Stratoss automation benefits to existing deployments.
Accanto’s Stratoss™ is a cloud networking automation platform that embraces the I.T DevOps movement. Stratoss enables complex network services to be designed, created and continuously optimised across hybrid and distributed cloud environments. Stratoss Lifecycle Manager’s unique intent engine delivers dramatic “lights out” operational automation, lowering the cost of managing edge cloud fabrics for Enterprise and 5G, and increasing the pace of innovation.
