Pantera 12000

Rackmount All-in-One Probe and Protocol Analyzer

Protocol Analyzer - Pantera 12000

At the top end of line, the Protocol Analyzer - Pantera 12000 offers unparalleled performance and scalability. Designed for demanding environments, the 12000 features dual quad-core processors, 24 GB of RAM, and 10 Gb card hosting capability. This makes it an ideal solution for core applications, protocol testing and, high-throughput lab and field environments. The 12000's rapid RTP analysis engine also makes it and excellent tool for demanding MOS score applications.

Maximum Performance and Power

Dual Xeon quad-core processors work together to ensure maximal performance - 12 BG of ultra-fast RAM, combined with state-of-the-art bus architecture helps processes data flows in real-time

High-speed Network Support

10G interface cards handle massive traffic flows, even across thenetwork core

Deeper Analysis

Powerful hardware and mass on-board storage allow deeper analysis of customer and network/service data - IP intelligence ensures IP-based signaling carefully monitored for converged core applications

Scalable and Reliable

Two 1 TB data storage expansion slots, mirrored in RAID-1 - 16 front bays for slide removable SATA hard drives - RAID-mirrored storage guarantees data availability for critical applications - Redundant universal power supplies provide enhanced reliability and availability

Service Assurance

As a probe in Accanto's iCSA system, the protocol analyzer - Pantera 12000 plays a key role in collecting critical network, subscriber and service data. This data is quickly analyzed and correlated by the centralized iCSA server to create a more accurate picture of the actual end-user experience. Pantera provides active protocol testing, performance monitoring of the backhaul, consolidated fault management of access and aggregation networks, and also provides the backbone for service management.

Convergent Core Network Monitoring

The “all-over IP” migration for circuit switched voice traffic is in full swing. This migration introduces a significant amount of complexity in managing the overall network as several protocols and interface types must work together seamlessly. Pantera 12000's high performance capabilities allows operators to monitor, capture and analyze traffic up to 10Gbits/s. This traffic can by grouped and, using advanced comparison algorithms, real-time customer service quality dashboards and alerts can be generated. Combined with its built-in power and storage redundancy features, the 12000 is ideal for this mission-critical application.

MOS Scoring Machine

With its ultra-high performance profile, the Pantera 12000 can be used as a high-capacity MOS scoring machine for up to 70,000 simultaneous RTP flows. This offers a more cost-efficient approach, as the operator need purchase and maintain one less piece of equipment.

Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM) Performance Validation

In addition to vefirying protocol and signaling conformance, NEMs can utilize the Pantera 12000's high power to verify device throughput and performance in order to ensure they meet published specifications.

IMS Network Monitoring

IMS networks are notoriously difficult to monitor and troubleshoot due to their complexity and high traffic volume. With its powerful processing capabilities, as well as mass storage, the Pantera 12000 series can easily deal with the most demanding of IMS applications, analyzing the services and protocols involved (signaling messages) to create an end-to-end view. Partucularly useful for fixed operators migrating towards an IMS-based network with massive amount of companion RTP traffic.

Useful resources for the Pantera 12000.
